The library:

AA museum of preserved specimens established for the purpose of identifi-cation and systemic classification of marine organisms that occur along the Libyan shore and coastal areas of the Mediterranean Sea. The mu¬seum holds marine plant and animal specimens that include common, uncommon, commercial, exotic, and poisonous species. Researchers, university students, amateur anglers, and fishermen are among the many regular visitors of the museum.

About MBRC

The Marine Biology Research Center was established in  September 1984, the Marine Fisheries Research Center merged with the Marine Biology Re­search Center (MBRC) of Tajura in or­der to unite and the capabilities the ex­pertise of both centers.
Since its establishment until now, the center had endeavoured to accomplish these goals.
